According to Radio Pakistan, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has said that the government is using all available resources to increase the capacity of diagnostic tests for corona virus from 50,000 per day to 100,000 from next month.

However, according to government figures, only 28,117 tests have been performed in the last 24 hours to diagnose the corona virus across the country. According to the official Code 19 portal, the highest number of one-day tests in the country so far was conducted on June 12, with 29,850.
The Federal Minister further said that the challenge of corona virus can be tackled only by enforcing the rules and regulations and increasing the capacity of diagnostic tests.

Asked about the increase in the number of coronavirus patients in the country, Asad Omar said that in view of the weak economy, the policy of complete lockdown could not be effective. And workers will face severe hardships.
Since February, 154,760 cases of corona virus have been reported in Pakistan and 2975 people have died while 58,437 people have lost their corona.
